The tour through the nature reserve of the Wildenfels Highlands may starteither at the town of Wildenfels or the villages Sch�naurespectively Gr�nau. From every starting point well developed paths lead to this charminglydelightful spot.

Luckily for all nature friends, friends of the 'Wildenfelser Zwischengebirge' e.V. won successfully against the Saxon Ministry of Trade and Industry the granted permission for rock mining on an area of roughly 62 hectare in the year 1991. The permission was withdrawn in the year2000.

'The mountain stays' was the sympathetic slogan by the initiative and we from city-map can only say: "Well done!"

Visitors to the Wildenfels Highlands whether he travels by foot or bicycle will be rewarded with its beautiful lnadscape and terrific views.
