The theatre building was constructed in the year 1880 by an affluent�factory-owner of the town Crimmitschau under the name "Vereinshof" as�hotel, ball and gastronomy complex. In 1950 half of the building was converted into a theatre.��

The Theatre Crimmitschau looks today back on an over 50-year successful history. Taking place at the house are theatre, concerts and entertainment events of the most diverse genre. Several clubs and folklore circles are housed here. Changing art exhibitions in the small gallery round off the offer.�

The completely redeveloped theatre building is an important part of the architectonical valuable city centre building ensemble.
